Job description

We're recruiting on behalf of our client based in the Carlisle area. This is a key role to this businesses expansion plans. This business are a leading manufacturing business with multiple UK sites. If you have experience leading the Site Services team in a manufacturing setting then this could be the role for you.

The Person:

• Apprentice trained.
• Have completed further education.
• Have experience leading teams and have excellent leadership and managerial skills.
• Have a proven ability to achieve targets, drive improvements and manage budgets. Ideally the applicant will be BOAS certified or competent in Industrial Refrigeration System (NH3 handling) but training will be provided.
• Experience and knowledge working with industrial boilers, steam systems, water treatment, refrigeration, legionella, Ro plants, sewage treatment plants and air conditioning.

The Role:

• Ensure process and personnel safety with regards to industrial services plant and equipment. From design and installation through to routine and periodic safety inspections and audits.
• Leadership, management and development of a highly technical and significant operational team.
• Ensure that personnel managing, operating and maintaining industrial services plant and infrastructure are competent to do so.
• Guarantee that competency assessment and competency building plans are in place, routinely reviewed and executed for the industrial services team.
• Plan, perform and manage the design, modification and improvements to industrial services plant, equipment and infrastructure. Utilising own area of competency and specialisation or with competent 3rd parties.
• Manage quality, environmental and internal and external compliance requirements for industrial services through management and monitoring processes and routines.
• Assist in the budgeting and cost monitoring of industrial services. Identifies and drives energy and water saving opportunities.
