Job summary

Drivvn Ltd. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team in Birmingham. You will focus on application performance and production reliability across our multi-tenant automotive SaaS platform, using Datadog, Terraform, and AKS on Azure.

Responsibilities include turning findings into actionable tickets, maintaining dashboards, running on-call, and contributing to AI-driven automation. Experience with PHP, Symfony, Node.js, and cloud-native tooling is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience using an application observability platform (Datadog preferred) to investigate production performance issues.
• Strong knowledge of PHP (Symfony/Doctrine) with ability to read code, profile it and propose fixes.
• Good understanding of web app performance: DB queries, caching, HTTP/CDN.
• Practical experience with Terraform, managing monitors or dashboards as code.
• Experience running services on Kubernetes and a major cloud provider (Azure preferred).
• Scripting skills (Bash/Python) and comfort with Git and Linux.
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights that drive team decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day use of Datadog across the platform, with APM, tracing, logs and metrics to identify performance issues.
• Diagnose performance problems in PHP/Symfony and Node.js services, addressing slow queries and memory pressure.
• Build and maintain Datadog dashboards, monitors and SLOs as code using Terraform.
• Run regular performance reviews with Engineering Managers and track remediation impact.
• Turn findings into clear, evidence-backed tickets and follow them through to delivery.
• Handle incident responses, runbooks, and participate in post-incident reviews.
