Job summary

Cisco's Webex Engineering Group in London is expanding its DevOps and platform engineering capabilities. The role focuses on Kubernetes-based microservices configurations, GitOps with Argo CD, and secure secret management using HashiCorp Vault.

You will work in a hybrid London office, collaborating across teams to deliver scalable, observable platforms supporting Webex Meetings, Webex Calling, and Webex Contact Center.

Qualifications

• Analytical Degree or equivalent experience: Bachelor's or higher degree in an analytical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Electronic/Software Engineering).
• Work experience: 4+ Years demonstrated experience in software development.
• Coding Aptitude: Extensive architecture and programming experience and the willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
• Strong Kubernetes + microservices experience.
• Experience with GitOps (CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Own design, codification, testing, and delivery of Kubernetes-based microservices configurations (Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps) using Kubernetes, Helm.
• Drive operational excellence in a GitOps model using Argo CD and implement canary releases and validation gates.
• Codify autoscaling and resiliency; manage secure secrets via HashiCorp Vault and Kubernetes Secrets.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate configuration-as-code development, validation, and optimization.
• Address complex challenges across configuration, policy, observability, and data services; apply a data-driven approach with Prometheus and Grafana.
