Job summary

Cisco's Webex Engineering Group in London is hiring software engineers to own the design, coding, testing, and delivery of Kubernetes-based microservices configurations (Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps) using Kubernetes and Helm. Based in central London near Moorgate, the team operates a hybrid model, meeting in the office three times a week.

You will drive GitOps with Argo CD, enable progressive delivery, and apply observability with Prometheus and Grafana to ensure reliable,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an analytical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Electronic/Software Engineering).
4+ years of software development experience.
Strong Kubernetes and microservices experience.
Experience with GitOps (CI/CD).
Hands-on with Helm or Kustomize.
Experience with GitOps (e.g., Argo CD).
Knowledge of secrets management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault).
Experience with observability (metrics/logs/tracing).

Responsibilities

Own design, codification, testing, and delivery of Kubernetes-based microservices configurations (Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps).
Drive operational perfection in a GitOps model using Argo CD and enable progressive delivery.
Apply AI-assisted tools to accelerate configuration-as-code development.
Address complex challenges across configuration, observability, and data services.
Apply data-driven approaches using Prometheus and Grafana to improve reliability and performance.
Own end-to-end configuration governance with Open Policy Agent and secure deployments.
Support a self-service platform using Backstage and declarative configs.
