Job summary

Proactive Appointments Ltd. is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer on a contract basis (6 months, with potential extension). The role is outside IR35 and requires a live UKIC DV clearance, with on-site work in Gloucester four days per week.

You will work with Terraform, Ansible/Chef, Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD through Jenkins, monitoring with InfluxDB/Prometheus/Grafana, RabbitMQ messaging, SQL databases, Linux CLI, and AWS cloud services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda).

Qualifications

• Must hold a live UKIC DV clearance.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef or similar).
• Experience with Terraform.
• Docker containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker Swarm).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
• Experience with monitoring tools (InfluxDB, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Event-driven integration with MQ messaging (RabbitMQ).
• SQL and relational databases knowledge.
• Linux CLI, administration and scripting.
• Networking security protocols knowledge.
• Cloud hosting services experience (AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda).

Site Reliability Engineer – DV Cleared

Our client is urgently looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join their team on a contract basis, initially for 6 months with a view to extend.

Please note, the role is OUTSIDE of IR35. You must hold live UKIC DV. The role is on-site 4 days per week in Gloucester.

Site Reliability Engineer – Key Skills:

• Must hold a live UKIC DV
• Modern configuration management tools (such as Ansible, Chef or similar)
• Experience working with Terraform
• Docker containers & container orchestration tools (such as Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker Swarm)
• Using and maintaining CI / CD tools (such as Jenkins or similar)
• Experience with monitoring tools such as InfluxDB, Prometheus or Grafana.
• Event-driven integration with MQ messaging (RabbitMQ or similar AMQP solution)
• Good understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Linux command line, administration and shell scripting
• Working knowledge of network security protocols
• Experience using, developing with and maintaining cloud hosting services (ideally AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda)
