Job summary

Application Support Engineer – DV Cleared

Our client is urgently looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join their team on a contract basis, initially for 6 months with a view to extend.

Please note, the role is OUTSIDE of IR35. You must hold live UKIC DV. The role is on-site 4 days per week in Gloucester.

Application Support Engineer – Key Skills:

• Must hold a live UKIC DV
• Understanding of networking and software architectures
• Understanding of structured text formats: JSON, XML, CSV

The below skills are nice to have:

• Exposure to programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and Go
• API definitions: Swagger / Open API 3
• Shell scripting
• AWS or other cloud platforms’ administration
• Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles
• Infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
• CI/CD pipelines and automation practices
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• Kubernetes – cloud or on-prem
