Job summary

Balfour Beatty VINCI is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team on HS2 works across the West Midlands. The role involves on-site activity around Birmingham and requires understanding of contractual, commercial, insurance and legal processes.

Ideal candidates hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying and membership of RICS/ICES/CIOB (desirable), with prior civils/infrastructure experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent.
• Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (Desirable).
• Experience in civils/infrastructure projects as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to a Project Manager or Commercial Manager for commercial aspects of a section.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of contractual, commercial, insurance and legal processes.
• Maintain effective client relationships to ensure smooth progression of contracts.
• Collaborates with delivery teams to develop commercial techniques and solutions.
