Job summary

Exyte is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional to lead on live nuclear construction sites, ensuring approvals, records and handover are completed to the highest standard.

You will coordinate inspection records, NCRs and ITPs, maintaining traceability from design to final handover while interfacing with clients and construction teams in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience on live construction sites.
• Quality assurance experience on complex projects.
• Experience with ITPs, inspection records, NCRs and handover documentation.
• Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and utilise the site quality team with a clear client interface.
• Ensure approved QA Grades are applied and procurement manages supply-chain flow-down.
• Manage and monitor Installation ITPs, hold/witness points, ITRs, EESRs, LTQRs and handover records.
• Maintain line of sight between approved design, manufactured product, installation, testing and handover.
• Confirm work proceeds against approved drawings, specs, ITPs and instructions.
• Identify missing or conflicting information and escalate promptly to owners.
• Monitor project partitioning, system boundaries, equipment ID and configuration status.
• Manage site NCRs, observations, concessions and corrective actions with technical dispositions.
• Verify material certification, traceability, inspection evidence, test results and quality release records.
• Coordinate quality input from supervisors, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, document control and project functions.
• Monitor handover readiness and provide reports on status, risks, ageing actions and upcoming quality activities.
• Support client inspections, audits, surveillance and final acceptance activities.
• Promote a strong nuclear safety and quality culture with a questioning attitude and timely escalation.

To provide visible, independent quality assurance across nuclear construction projects, ensuring approved requirements are followed and the Golden Thread is maintained from manufacture through installation and final handover.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Lead and effectively utilise the site quality team while providing a clear, credible client interface.
• Assure approved QA Grades are applied, with Procurement managing supply-chain flow-down.
• Manage and monitor Installation ITPs, hold and witness points, ITRs, EESRs, LTQRs, EoMRs and other handover records.
• Maintain clear line of sight between approved design, manufactured product, installation, testing and final handover.
• Confirm that work only proceeds against approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and instructions.
• Identify missing, late or conflicting information and elevate it promptly to the responsible Design, Manufacturing or Engineering owner.
• Monitor project partitioning, system boundaries, equipment identification and configuration status.
• Manage site NCRs, observations, concessions and corrective actions, ensuring technical dispositions are provided by the authorised technical owner.
• Verify material certification, traceability, inspection evidence, test results and quality release records are complete and correctly linked.
• Coordinate quality input from supervisors, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, Document Control and project functions.

• Experience of ITPs, inspection records, NCRs and handover documentation
• Experience of nuclear or another highly regulated sector
