Job summary

Sphere Solutions are recruiting an experienced QA/QC professional to join a specialist construction contractor on the Hinkley Point C project. You will oversee quality across the site, ensuring works align with drawings, specifications, ITPs and client requirements.

Key duties include managing day-to-day QA/QC activities, inspections, maintaining ITPs, NCRs and quality records, coordinating sign-offs with the client, and supporting the project team to identify and resolve quality issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QA/QC role within construction.
• Experience on large-scale or highly regulated projects.
• Strong knowledge of ITPs, inspections and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day QA/QC activities across the project.
• Complete inspections and quality checks of installation works.
• Review and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation.
• Raise, monitor and close out NCRs and quality observations.
• Coordinate inspections and sign-offs with the client team.
• Monitor subcontractor quality and workmanship.
• Complete site walkdowns and quality audits.
• Ensure relevant documentation is completed and uploaded to project systems.
• Support the project team in identifying quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Liaise with site management, engineers and the wider client team to ensure quality standards are maintained.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality across the project, ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, ITPs, RAMS and client requirements.

• Experience managing NCRs and corrective actions.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Previous Hinkley Point C experience/induction is highly desirable.
• Nuclear, energy, industrial or other highly regulated construction experience advantageous.
