Job summary

Qualifications

• CSWIP 3.1 or PCN Level 2 MT certification is required.
• Experience in welding inspection and NDT within nuclear environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow and interpretate procedures and specifications within the job scope.
• To manage and control the ITP.
• Contributions to continues improvements.
• Ensure that the work being undertaken is in line with contract specifications and standards, through manufacture to treatment and then to delivery to site.
• Liaise with subcontractors and treatment works to carry out random inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Complete inspections to ensure material at goods inwards meet the required standards.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout the contract.
• Produce and record reports from visits to suppliers and sub-contractors with contract documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Carry out other reasonable duties within the function of the role.

Our Client, Boccard, a global industrial turnkey constructor specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of innovative industrial plants are currently looking for a Welding & NDT Inspector experienced in the Nuclear for a 6 months contract to start with the possibility to be extended / become a permanent employee near Bridgewater, Somerset (TA7 0AJ)
CSWIP 3.1 / PCN Level 2 MT required
The Welding & NDT Inspector is responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of the companies welding, installation and fabrication activities, including dimensional inspection. They are responsible for inspecting and assessing the strength and quality of welds, ensuring the correct equipment is being used, checking weld specifications and ensuring all safety regulations are being adhered to.

• Liaise with clients and production teams to establish good relationships
• Ensure Nuclear Safety by ensuring quality welding of materials
• Awareness of Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Items (CFSI)

Responsibilities
