Job Location:

Hitachi Energy, Lackenby NG 400kV Substation – Middlesbrough (5 days per week on site)

Role Overview:

Supervise and coordinate the work of internal and external resources and equipment technical specialists during on-site installation/construction activities related to the assigned discipline to assure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.

Discipline: Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Field Instrumentation, etc.

What you will do:

• Supervise a team of employees in executing tasks within an assigned area. Ensure proper work assignment coordination and conduct performance reviews.
• Require several years of experience as a Site Supervisor.
• Have good experience with Site Management, Health & Safety (OHS), Environment, Quality Assurance & Control, Installation Works, and basic knowledge of Commissioning and Civil Works.
• Plan on-site project activities related to the discipline in collaboration with Site Manager or Site Construction Manager, including resources, equipment, and milestones.
• Coordinate and monitor all on-site activities from receiving the site area to handover, ensuring alignment with specifications, standards, schedule, and safety.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and local organizations.
• Ensure a detailed and up-to-date HSE plan is in place and promote safety policies among all site resources.
• Manage the handling, storage, and installation of equipment, coordinating logistics for timely delivery.
• Manage subcontractors to meet quality and delivery standards.
• Control project costs, monitor expenditures, and manage local purchasing within delegated authority.
• Maintain all project documentation, ensuring updates and proper handling.
• Organize and lead the team effectively, ensuring proper staffing, skills, and motivation, along with coordinating site facilities and logistics.
