Job summary

SUEZ in the United Kingdom, Truro, seeks a site operative to deliver excellent customer service and guidance to the public on site usage, helping maximise material recovery. You will join a busy site team and support smooth daily operations.

You will maintain records, coordinate container exchanges, keep the site tidy, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies while supporting colleagues across shifts.

Qualifications

• A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
• A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing.
• Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, ensuring space to segregate and store material.
• Maintaining a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring SUEZ complies with health, safety and welfare duties for employees and others affected by actions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees to comply with site permit, legislation and policies.
