Job summary

Musselburgh, Scotland-based Site Operative role at Interaction Recruitment Group is recruiting 4-5 operatives for a busy anaerobic digestion and recycling facility. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour and overtime paid at 1.5x.

This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity at a busy waste processing site. Ideal candidates will have a practical mindset, be safety-conscious and able to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a recycling, waste management, yard or production environment is desirable.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or general site operative duties would be an advantage.
• A good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
• A valid telehandler licence would be highly advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general site cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Maintaining cleanliness across operational areas and workspaces.
• Supporting waste handling, recycling and site operations.
• Assisting with the safe movement and management of materials.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Working as part of a team to ensure the facility operates efficiently.
• Reporting any hazards, maintenance issues or safety concerns to management.
