Job summary

SUEZ in Grove, United Kingdom, is seeking a site-based customer service assistant. You will help members of the public use the site to maximise recovery of materials being deposited, while keeping accurate site records and supporting the team.

You will also maintain a tidy site, support health and safety obligations, coordinate container exchanges, and work with the team to meet permit and policy requirements. A flexible approach to cover holidays is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person to ensure space to segregate and store material.
• Maintaining a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring SUEZ complies with health, safety and welfare duties for employees and others affected by actions or omissions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and others to comply with site permits, legislation and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
• Carrying out any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What will I be doing?

• Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:
• Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
• Maintaining a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
• Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health & safety,we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.
