Job summary

SUEZ is seeking a proactive site operative to support the public on site, maximise material recovery and maintain orderly, compliant operations.

The role focuses on customer service, teamwork, and flexible coverage for holidays and sickness. Prior experience with mobile plant is welcome, with full training provided, and adherence to health and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
• A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and advise members of the public on site use to maximise recovery of materials.
• Maintain accurate records for removal of materials from the site.
• Control exchange of containers by booking loads to ensure space for segregation and storage of materials.
• Keep the site tidy within your areas of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and welfare duties and with SUEZ policies and procedures.
• Assist with other duties as reasonably requested within the job scope.

Job description

What will I be doing?

Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:

• Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
• Maintaining a tidy site within his/her areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
• Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.
