To work full year as part of our busy Site Team. The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time, as the newly formed ‘Bewdley School Foundation’ is set to take on land and buildings, in order to develop the site for the benefit of the school and the community. The school is expanding steadily and, as a result of high demand for places, will need to expand classroom provision during the coming years.

Our existing Site Team works closely with Senior Leaders to ensure the continuous running and maintenance of our 22-acre school site. The successful applicant will work with the Site Manager & Assistant Site Manager to ensure all aspects of compliance, H&S, and general maintenance are upheld across our 6 buildings, as well as our Youth Hub and Leisure Centre.

The role will be based on a working pattern of Monday to Friday, 2pm to 7pm, with possible slight variations during holiday periods. Duties include assisting with locking/unlocking the school, routine maintenance (including painting & decorating, basic plumbing & carpentry), cleaning duties during the day, porterage duties, health & safety checks (in conjunction with the Site Manager), and replenishing stocks of consumables. Duties may also include driving the school minibus and assisting with large-scale projects under the direction of the Operations Manager.

The Bewdley School, serving the Georgian town of Bewdley on the banks of the River Severn, is a fully inclusive and comprehensive school performing well in national examinations and offering a broad and balanced curriculum. Students are eager to learn, and the school is warm and welcoming. If you would like to work with skilled colleagues in a supportive environment, please apply.

We seek a colleague who has:
