Job summary

Veolia in Rugby, Warwickshire, is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee site operations, safety, and team performance. You will manage waste processing, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver projects within budget while upholding Veolia's standards.

You will lead the operational team, coordinate contractors, and maintain records, benefiting from Veolia's pension, health resources, and volunteering days as part of a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in landfill or waste treatment in an operations role.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
• Understanding of plant maintenance and operations.

Responsibilities

• Site Operations & Safety Management: assist in managing day-to-day site activities and safety culture.
• Team Leadership: act as line manager for the operations team, supervise and train staff.
• Waste Processing & Plant Management: control waste reception, processing and equipment maintenance.
• Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder Relations: ensure regulatory compliance and liaise with authorities.
• Operational Administration & Project Delivery: maintain records and deliver project works.
