Job summary

Taylor2Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Works Manager/Contracts for a site-based role in East Sussex. You will oversee site visits, rostering, frontline HR, appraisals, RAMS, contract management, and fleet coordination to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires a background in arb and/or vegetation, with responsibility for procurement, audits, and training coordination across multiple sites. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

Background in Arb and/or Vegetation.

Responsibilities

Site visits to assess project requirements, perform risk assessments, and provide scoping reports.
Develop and maintain efficient work rotas for staffing and operations across sites.
Frontline HR duties including recruitment support and workforce planning.
Conduct regular performance appraisals and manage return-to-work processes.
Oversee contract lifecycle, health, safety and environmental compliance on site.
Manage equipment, fleet, procurement, and supplier relationships.
Perform site audits and ensure adherence to safety, quality and ESG standards.
Identify training needs and coordinate delivery with HR.
Monitor RAMS and ensure tasks are carried out safely with proper procedures.
Coordinate stores, timesheets, PPE, and customer interactions with HR as needed.
