Job summary

Wright Engineering is seeking Site Mechanical Fitters to join a busy team delivering projects across the UK. The role covers new-build, maintenance, and overhaul work on diverse sites, with opportunities for career progression.

You will read GA drawings, install and maintain conveyors and ash handling equipment, and carry out on-site fabrication and modifications while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in medium to heavy engineering on industrial sites.
• Ability to read GA drawings and detailed plans.
• Experience installing and maintaining conveyors and ash handling equipment.
• On-site fabrication and modifications work experience.
• Installations of new equipment and repairs to existing systems.
• Commitment to high safety standards; MEWP/PASMA training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on sites across the UK on new-build, maintenance, and overhaul projects.
• Operate and install equipment such as conveyors and ash handling systems.
• Perform on-site fabrication and modifications as required.
• Ensure work complies with safety standards and company procedures.

Site Mechanical Fitters

Established for over 30 years, Wright engineering are looking to recruit enthusiastic and experienced Platers / Steel Erectors / Fitters / Pipe Fitters to join our team servicing sites across the UK. This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to thrive, working within a successful and vibrant team.

Competitive salary starting at £22.47/hour (This includes working away allowance and sustenance allowance)

Overview

• Working on sites across the UK on new-build, maintenance, and overhaul work.
• Wide variety of work ranging for power stations, waste recovery, building product manufacture and quarrying.
• Promotion opportunities available.

The skills required

• Experience of working on medium to heavy engineering.
• Reading engineering GAs and detailed drawings.
• Installing and maintaining a wide range of equipment such as conveyors, ash handling equipment.
• On site fabrication and modifications.
• Installation of new equipment and repairs to old.
• Working to the highest of safety standards.
• Plant operations such as MEWP, Loadall, Slinger banksman and PASMA would be benefit but training can be given.

Competitive salary starting at £22.47/hour (This includes working away allowance and sustenance allowance)

Standard overtime rate of £27.70/hour and £36.94/hour on Sundays.

Enhanced rates for overtime and weekends.
