Job summary

Wright Engineering is seeking Site Mechanical Fitters to join their team. You will work on sites across the UK on new-build, maintenance and overhaul projects, reading GA drawings, installing and maintaining equipment, and performing on-site fabrication and repairs.

The role offers a competitive salary starting at £22.47/hour, with overtime and Sunday rates, plus a pension, 25 days leave and a loyalty scheme. Training and career growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in medium to heavy engineering environments.
• Ability to read engineering GA drawings and detailed drawings.
• On-site fabrication and modification of equipment; installation and repair of new and existing machinery.

Responsibilities

• Work on UK sites on new-build, maintenance and overhaul projects.
• Read and interpret GA drawings and plans to install and maintain equipment.
• Carry out on-site fabrication and modifications as required.
• Install new equipment and perform repairs to existing systems.
• Adhere to the highest safety standards on all sites.

Site Mechanical Fitters

Established for over 30 years, Wright engineering are looking to recruit enthusiastic and experienced Platers / Steel Erectors / Fitters / Pipe Fitters to join our team servicing sites across the UK.

Competitive salary starting at £22.47/hour (This includes working away allowance and sustenance allowance)

Overview

• Working on sites across the UK on new-build, maintenance, and overhaul work.
• Wide variety of work ranging for power stations, waste recovery, building product manufacture and quarrying.
• Promotion opportunities available.

The skills required

• Experience of working on medium to heavy engineering.
• Reading engineering GAs and detailed drawings.
• Installing and maintaining a wide range of equipment such as conveyors, ash handling equipment.
• On site fabrication and modifications.
• Installation of new equipment and repairs to old.
• Working to the highest of safety standards.
• Plant operations such as MEWP, Loadall, Slinger banksman and PASMA would be benefit but training can be given.

Competitive salary starting at £22.47/hour (This includes working away allowance and sustenance allowance)

Standard overtime rate of £27.70/hour and £36.94/hour on Sundays.

Enhanced rates for overtime and weekends.
