Job summary

Wright Engineering is seeking a Plater Welder based in Worksop to join our busy fabrication team. You will work on projects across the UK, reading GA drawings and fabricating from carbon and stainless steels with a strong workmanship standard.

The role is full-time with progression into supervisory positions and regular training. Expect a Monday to Friday 07:30–16:00 schedule, overtime on Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays with uplift.

Qualifications

• Experience with medium to heavy engineering fabrications.
• Reading GA and detailed drawings to a high standard.
• Marking out, drilling, cutting, bending, rolling and various types of welding.
• All welding must be qualified and tested to our in‑house standards.
• Plant operations such as MEWP, Loadall, forklift truck beneficial (training available).
• Occasional on‑site work may occur, with corresponding uplift to hourly rates.

Wright Engineering is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Fabricators and Welders to join our team servicing sites across the UK. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic person to thrive in a successful and vibrant team.

Overview

Based in one of our two workshops in Worksop, we are looking for an experienced Plater Welder working on a wide variety of projects, including power stations, waste recovery, building product manufacture and quarrying industries. This is a full‑time position with the opportunity for progression into supervisory roles. Ideal candidates have a strong workmanship standard and can work with various material grades such as carbon and stainless steels.

Package

• Monday to Friday 07:30 – 16:00 (overtime available weekdays & weekends)
• £15.33 PH basic rate
• £22.99 PH overtime after 8 hours worked weekday and Saturdays
• £30.66 PH overtime all hours worked on Sundays
