Job summary

Groupe GISMIC is seeking a seasoned Site Mechanical Construction Manager to support a major project at Hinkley Point C. The role involves governing mechanical construction activities on site, coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring delivery within safety, quality and schedule constraints.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager on large-scale industrial, power, nuclear, or infra projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation and construction processes.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all mechanical construction and installation activities on site.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site teams.
• Monitor progress and ensure works meet programme milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality requirements.
• Liaise with engineering, construction and commissioning teams to support project delivery.
• Identify and resolve construction issues while maintaining schedules.
