Job summary

GIS MIC is seeking an experienced Site Mechanical Construction Manager to support a major project at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. You will manage mechanical construction and installation on site, coordinating subcontractors and site teams to deliver safe, compliant, and on-schedule works.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and proven leadership experience on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects, with strong knowledge of installation processes and a track record

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager on large-scale industrial, power generation, energy, nuclear, or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical installation and construction processes.
Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment.
Flexible and willing to support project requirements and key delivery milestones.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all mechanical construction and installation activities on site.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site teams.
Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed in line with programme milestones.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Liaise with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to support project delivery.
Identify and resolve construction issues while maintaining project schedules.
