Job summary

Sizewell C Company is recruiting a Materials Technician to join the Civil Works Alliance on the Sizewell C project. You will perform laboratory and site-based testing of earthworks materials, aggregates, and grout, ensuring compliance with project specs and UKAS accreditation.

You will report results accurately and uphold safety standards in a busy on-site environment. Based on site in Suffolk, you will work in a skilled materials engineering team, develop testing processes, and mentor

Qualifications

• Experience working with construction materials in a laboratory/field setting.
• Familiarity with cost/time reporting and project documentation.
• Knowledge of risk assessments and method statements will be advantageous.
• Experience training or mentoring colleagues is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake laboratory and site-based testing of earthworks materials, aggregates and grout.
• Carry out inspections and testing to project specifications and report results accurately.
• Support UKAS accreditation requirements and uphold safety principles.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and data management.
