Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support the Sizewell C project, testing concrete, aggregates and related materials across laboratory and field settings. You will ensure compliance with standards, inspect materials, and assist with investigations into quality issues while collaborating with diverse teams on site.

Ideal candidates will have experience in quality control, strong attention to detail and robust reporting skills, plus CSCS and relevant safety

Responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory and field testing of concrete, aggregates, asphalt and related products.
• Perform sampling, testing and specimen preparation in accordance with British and European standards.
• Conduct concrete testing including slump tests, compressive strength testing and sample preparation.
• Inspect incoming raw materials and verify deliveries against specifications.
• Analyse concrete batch tickets to ensure compliance with mix designs.
• Investigate product quality issues and support investigations with teams.
• Review site practices and delivery processes to identify improvements.
• Maintain testing records and produce detailed technical reports.
• Liaise with contractors, site teams and colleagues to support project requirements.
