This is a hands-on role for a Site Manager with at least 6 years of experience in large tunnelling projects. The position is site-based, working on a United Utilities project under AMP 8, overseeing nearly £30M worth of work involving sinking four shafts using pipejacking techniques. The shafts will have diameters of 1200 – 1500 mm and reach depths of 60 metres.
The role focuses on health and safety ownership, procurement of plant and materials, quality control, and financial management. You will manage an engineering and a mining gang and report directly to the Operations Director.
This is a permanent position; freelance applications will not be considered.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £50,000 – £60,000, plus a company car or car allowance.
