Berkeley Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead designated work packages on traditional residential developments in Hertfordshire. You will coordinate trades, review drawings, monitor quality and progress, and ensure compliance with safety and QA standards.

You will supervise contractors, mentor Assistant Site Managers, and maintain clear records while collaborating with project and commercial teams to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Competenze

• Demonstrable Site Manager experience on traditionally built residential developments.
• Strong practical knowledge of traditional construction methods and build sequencing.
• Experience managing trade contractors and packages across multiple build stages.
• Understanding of drawings, specifications and inspection processes.

Mansioni

• Manage designated work packages and coordinate trades through the build sequence.
• Apply traditional build experience to identify interfaces, sequencing requirements and delivery risks.
• Supervise and monitor contractors, labour and site activities.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Check plans and technical information for accuracy and support issue resolution.
• Monitor progress against the build programme, milestones and dates.
• Maintain records of delays, inspections, quality checks and site activity.
• Ensure Inspection and Test Plans, hold points, QA and commissioning requirements are followed.
• Inspect completed work and address defects promptly to standard.
• Liaise with Project Manager and Commercial team on instructions, variations and payments.
• Support and develop Assistant Site Managers across areas and packages.
