Job summary

Apex M&E Solutions Ltd in Leeds is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead social housing retrofit and refurbishment projects across Leeds and West Yorkshire. You will coordinate direct labour, subcontractors, and specialist retrofit installers, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme and to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• SMSTS and First Aid at Work certifications are required.
• Proven site manager experience in social housing retrofit or refurbishment.
• Experience delivering EWI and energy-efficiency works.
• Experience managing works within occupied properties and liaising with residents.
• Knowledge of retrofit delivery standards and PAS 2035.

Responsibilities

• Managing social housing retrofit projects from start through to completion.
• Coordinating direct labour, subcontractors and specialist retrofit installers.
• Managing EWI, window and door replacements, insulation and refurbishment works.
• Planning and coordinating labour, materials, scaffold, plant and site resources.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
• Monitoring programme performance, productivity and project progress.
• Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring installation standards.
• Managing defects, snagging and remedial works through to completion.
• Ensuring retrofit designs and PAS 2035 requirements are followed.
• Liaising with Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
• Overseeing access for residents while minimising disruption.
• Maintaining site records and HSE compliance.
