Job summary

Apex M&E Solutions Ltd is seeking a Contracts Manager on behalf of an established family‑owned construction and refurbishment contractor. The role covers social housing retrofit, planned maintenance, and decarbonisation projects across the North of England, with Leeds as a key site.

You will oversee multiple housing retrofit contracts in Leeds/West Yorkshire, coordinating Site Managers, QSs, subcontractors and clients. Ensure safety, schedule, budget and quality while managing operational risks.

Qualifications

• SMSTS and First Aid at Work certification required.
• Proven Contracts Manager experience in social housing retrofit/refurbishment.
• Knowledge of EWI and energy-efficiency programmes (PAS 2035).
• Strong contract administration, budgeting and risk management.
• Experience with local authorities and housing associations is essential.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple social housing retrofit/refurbishment contracts from mobilisation to completion.
• Lead Site Managers, supervisors, labour and subcontractors across projects.
• Ensure programme delivery, quality, safety and value for money.
• Manage EWI, insulation and refurbishment programmes and variations.
• Coordinate with QS/commercial teams on budgets and profitability.
• Maintain compliance with PAS 2035 and health & safety standards.
