Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is supporting an externals remediation project in Exeter. The Site Manager will coordinate sub-contractors, conduct safety inductions and oversee facade installation and cladding remediation on an external refurbishment programme.

The role requires proven remediation experience, SMSTS/CSCS credentials and a strong quality focus to deliver on time and within budget. Long-term, site-based contract from autumn season.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in remediation works, especially Curtain Walling and Fire barrier replacements.
• Experience as principal contractor with understanding of building control and warranty standards.
• Knowledge of site software packages (Multivista/Fieldview) and MS Project is advantageous.
• SMSTS, CSCS, First aid at work; scaffold awareness/PASMA desirable.

Reporting to the Senior Site Manager, the Site Manager - Remediation will support an external refurbishment programme in Exeter.

This temporary contract, paying £200-£275 per day, runs long term from the autumn.

Duties include co‑ordinating sub‑contractors, conducting health and safety inductions and checks, and overseeing facade installation plus cladding remediation.

Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record in facades and externals, with the quality focus needed to deliver safely, on budget and to schedule.

The position suits someone ready to take significant responsibility within a specialist contractor's team on a major remediation scheme.

An externals specialist about to commence works on a remediation scheme in Exeter is seeking a driven and quality focussed Site Manager with a proven track record in facades to provide support the team on an external refurbishment programme commencing in the Autumn.

Working for a specialist contractor who has a proven track record in similar schemes, you''ll be supporting the Senior Site Manager on the project, (Facade installation and cladding remediation works) and will play a huge part in ensuring that the project is delivered safely and within the prescribed budget and time allocations.

• Sub-contractor engagement and co‑ordination
• Health and Safety inductions, checks and site surveys, reviewing the RAMS, compiling H and S packs
• Inspections - reviewing alarms, temporary structures and other aspects of the project under change
• Administration - ensuring site logs and diaries are updated, and that works are accurately documented with the correct QA admin completed.

You should have a demonstrable work history reflecting previous experience of remediation works, especially Curtain Walling and Fire barrier replacements, be used to working within a principal contractor capacity and have a sound and thorough understanding of building control and (ideally) structural warranty standards.

You should have good knowledge of site software packages ( Multivista/Fieldview or similar) with knowledge of MS project an advantage.

As this is a site based role, you should also have SMSTS, CSCS, First aid at work with Scaffold awareness/PASMA being desirable.

It’s imperative that you’re au fait with documentation and reporting methods, specifically regarding Quality control and safety.
