Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a 12-month recladding project in Cardiff, starting January 2027. The role requires hands-on site leadership with a strong background in render and external façade works for a main contractor.

Applicants should hold SMSTS, CSCS Black Manager's Card and First Aid, with a proven track record in health & safety, quality and site management. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Strong recladding / external refurbishment / façade experience.
• Previous experience managing render projects would be highly beneficial.
• SMSTS required.
• CSCS Black Manager's Card required.
• First Aid certification.
• Solid understanding of health & safety, quality and site management procedures.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the site and site team.
• Oversee render, recladding and associated façade works.
• Manage subcontractors and labour on site.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate materials, deliveries and site logistics.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with RAMS.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, client, subcontractors and wider project team.
• Monitor progress and provide regular updates.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality throughout the project.
