Location : Working for the Birmingham Office; but site based in around the West Midlands.

Along with utilising your Site Management skills in Passive Fire Protection, youll also be looking for ways to add real social value to the communities and customers you work with. Supported by your peers, team, and management to solve problems and trusted to make decisions to grow and develop relationships and revenue.

Whilst ensuring the smooth running of your designated site, ensuring all site personnel carry out their tasks efficiently and effectively to enable the contract to be completed on time, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to the Health & Safety of their operational team, the Client or the general public.

An outline of your responsibility as a Site Manager

• Manage site teams, work activities and resources to meet the requirements of individual contracts.
• Taking accountability for correct installations of Passive Fire Protection works
• Ensuring works are done in line with relevant accreditation standards (BM Trada & FIRAS)
• Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including Sub Contractors)
• Collate all preconstruction information (packs, asbestos surveys etc).
• Ensure all necessary contract documentation / reports are accurate and produced on time in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
• Identify site hazards and ensure risk assessments and control methods are implemented via the Construction Phase Health
• Ensure all sites work comply with Legal and Statutory requirements, including Health, Safety and Welfare
• Assist in the preparation process for estimates, bids and tenders in partnership with the Contracts Manager.
• Create, manage and report on projects with multiple, live site locations through the use of a master programme.
  
  

About You

The successful candidate will have strong experience in Planned Passive Fire Protection works, working in both public and private sector clients including Social Housing. Works to include compartmentation, Fire Stopping, Fire Door Maintenance and New fire door set installation. Ideally to hold FIRAS/ASFP or IFE qualification.

• SMSTS is required, however training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Essential to have experience of Passive Fire Protection works and ideally hold FIRAS/ASFP/IFE Level 2
• Must be an enthusiastic self-starter with confident communications skills.
• Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office
• Must be flexible in hours of work and travel and hold a Full UK Driving Licence,
• The role will require a DBS check to be taken
