Job summary

Cobalt Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the fit-out of a brand-new dementia care unit within an existing hospital. The project covers full internal refurbishment including strip-out, electrical and mechanical installations, joinery, flooring and decoration.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining high safety and quality standards in a live hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects.
• Live healthcare or hospital environments experience is highly advantageous.
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.
• Strong knowledge of M&E coordination and internal fit-out works.
• Excellent organisational and subcontractor management skills.
• Ability to manage a project independently and maintain programme deadlines.

The Opportunity:

This is a freelance position starting 9th November 2026, with works expected to continue through to March 2027.

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Site Manager with a strong fit-out background who can take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of the project.
