Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking a Site Manager to lead refurbishment and new build projects within a framework worth £2 million to £5 million. You will be responsible for delivering to programme, maintaining client-facing relationships, and ensuring on-site safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will have a solid contractor background, strong leadership and communication skills, and be proficient in health and safety management, with CSCS Black Card, SMSTS and First Aid; DBS is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• On-site control of health and safety and site operations.
• Program and monitor work schedules, ensure progress within budget and regulations.
• Manage inductions, method statements, risk assessments, toolbox talks and permits to work.
• Coordinate logistics, plant and labour resources and run progress meetings with site team and subcontractors.
• Exposure to government-funded construction projects is a plus.

Job description

My client , a well run Building Contractor, are looking for a Site Manager to work on a framework of refurbishment and new build projects £2 million to £5 million The Site Manager will be responsible the delivery of the project, must be an effective communicator and be able to successfully deliver to programme.

• Experience of running projects up to £ 2 million
• Contractor background.
• A record of being client facing.
• Project leadership qualities and exceptional soft skills.
• Strong health and safety awareness and management.
• Strong technical and financial acumen
• Black CSCS, First Aid and SMSTS essential. Ideally current Basic or Enhanced DBS.

Controlling all aspects of H&S on site, your key responsibilities will include programming work schedule and monitoring building progress ensuring compliance with regulations and cost limitations. You will manage site inductions, method statements, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permits to work. Your remit will also include logistics planning, plant and labour resources management as well as progress meetings with site team and subcontractors. You will ideally have some previous exposure to government funded construction projects.

Profile:

In order to be considered you must have a strong construction background and have previously worked for a quality contractor. You must be able to demonstrate a strong track record in having delivered high profile projects.
