Job summary

AA Euro Group are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a large-scale refurbishment project in the Coventry area. You will be responsible for day-to-day site delivery, safety, quality and on-time performance, coordinating with project stakeholders.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to manage multiple subcontractors on live sites, and a good grasp of programming and site logistics. CIS rate of £350–£400 per day for a 7–9 month contract, with an anticipated start in the first week

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager for a Main Contractor.
• Strong background in large-scale refurbishment projects.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades.
• Understanding of sequencing, programme management and site logistics.
• SMSTS qualification and CSCS card would be advantageous.
• First Aid qualification is desirable.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and programmes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day site activities across the refurbishment project.
• Supervise subcontractors, trades and site operatives, ensuring works are completed in accordance with the programme and specification.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, design team and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against programme and proactively address any delays or issues.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation, RAMS and company procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries, materials and access requirements.
• Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure works meet the required standards.
• Review and coordinate subcontractor works and ensure interfaces between trades are effectively managed.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates and site documentation.
• Identify and resolve construction issues efficiently and escalate where appropriate.
• Assist with short-term programming and sequencing of works.
• Maintain strong communication with the client, consultants, subcontractors and wider project team.

• Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and construction legislation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and construction programmes.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of site delivery.
• SMSTS qualification.
• CSCS qualification/card appropriate to the role.
• First Aid qualification is desirable.
• Previous experience working on projects of a similar scale and complexity.
