Job summary

Astrea Academy Sheffield is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the Site Team and oversee maintenance, safety and general upkeep of our academy buildings and grounds. You will ensure a safe, secure and welcoming environment for scholars, staff and visitors by coordinating planned and reactive works and managing contractors.

The role requires flexibility with early starts and shifts between 6:30am and 7:00pm, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and high standards in an educational

Qualifications

• Significant experience in site, premises, facilities or building management.
• Trade qualification or substantial experience in joinery, plumbing or general maintenance.
• Experience managing teams and staff development.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Site Team to maintain high standards across the academy.
• Oversee maintenance, presentation and security of buildings and grounds.
• Act as key holder; manage opening/closing and site security.
• Coordinate general repairs and improvement works; monitor contractor work.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, legionella and health and safety regulations.
• Maintain maintenance records and respond to emergencies and site issues.
• Collaborate with academy leaders to improve the learning environment.
