Job summary

Plymouth Construction, a well-regarded main contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead mid to large-scale commercial schemes in Plymouth. You will coordinate site teams, supply chain partners and align health & safety, quality, programme and commercial performance to deliver projects on time and to budget.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering mid to large-scale commercial schemes.
• Experience with various construction methods and materials.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Good commercial awareness including budgets, scope and cost control.
• Technical ability to interpret drawings, specs and programmes.
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for successful delivery from pre-construction to completion.
• Coordinate client reps and stakeholders to meet contractual requirements.
• Lead site teams, subcontractors and consultants to ensure a collaborative approach.
• Develop and manage project strategy and delivery programme.
• Monitor progress and report to senior management on variances and costs.
• Maintain budgetary control and manage variations and scope changes.
• Drive health, safety, environmental and quality standards on site.
• Identify risks and opportunities and implement mitigations.
• Oversee site logistics and temporary works to support safe delivery.
• Ensure successful completion, commissioning and handover to client.
