Job summary

Catering is recruiting an experienced Site Manager to lead day-to-day activities on a large commercial construction project in Knottingley.

The role requires strong site management skills, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing health and safety, and ensuring works align with drawings, specifications and the programme.

SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS Managers Card are essential, with a willingness to work some weekends and maintain high quality and progress.

Qualifications

• Managing site logistics and ensuring good housekeeping standards
• Monitoring quality and resolving issues as they arise
• Maintaining accurate site records and documentation

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to work on a large commercial construction project in Knottingley.

The successful candidate will have a strong background managing large-scale commercial construction projects and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Site Manager duties will include:

• Managing and coordinating day-to-day site activities
• Managing subcontractors and trades on site
• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme
• Monitoring progress against the construction programme
• Carrying out site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety across the project
• Coordinating with the Project Manager, subcontractors and wider project team
• Managing site logistics and ensuring good housekeeping standards
• Monitoring quality and resolving issues as they arise
• Maintaining accurate site records and documentation

Site Manager requirements:

• Strong understanding of construction processes and site management
• Valid SMSTS Certificate essential
• Valid First Aid Certificate essential
• Valid CSCS Managers Card essential
• Excellent knowledge of construction health and safety
• Strong communication and subcontractor management skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain programme deadlines
• Must be prepared to work some weekends when required

Salary: £330 – £350/annum Freelance Contract, Ongoing
