Job summary

Catering in Knottingley is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to manage day-to-day engineering on site. You will work with the Site Manager and project team to set out, survey, and verify dimensions against drawings and specifications.

You will carry out quality checks, prepare as-built surveys, and maintain accurate records while coordinating with subcontractors and other engineers. A valid CSCS card and UK site experience are required.

• Experience as Site Engineer on UK construction projects.
• Strong setting-out capability and accuracy in surveys.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Solid understanding of construction site health and safety.
• Experience maintaining site records and as-built surveys.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work on a construction project in Knottingley.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day engineering requirements on site, working alongside the Site Manager and wider project team.

Site Engineer duties:

• Setting out and surveying works on site
• Checking line, level and dimensions
• Working from construction drawings and specifications
• Carrying out quality checks and maintaining accurate site records
• Completing as-built surveys and associated documentation
• Liaising with Site Managers, subcontractors and other engineers
• Identifying and resolving technical issues on site
• Ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with specifications

Site Engineer requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on UK construction projects
• Strong setting-out experience
• Experience using total station/GPS surveying equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Good understanding of construction site health and safety
• Relevant engineering qualification or demonstrable industry experience
• Valid CSCS card

This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer looking for work in the Knottingley area.

Salary: £320 – £350/day Freelance Contract, Ongoing
