Job summary

The Shore Group in Manchester is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee CAT A & B fitout works on a secure office refurbishment. Reporting to the on-site Project Manager, you will manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate multiple trades to deliver quality on programme.

Essential requirements include CAT A/B delivery, strong health and safety knowledge, leadership and clear communication, and SC clearance or BPSS with eligibility for SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering CAT A & B fitout/refurbishment projects.
• Experience on commercial office fitouts for Tier 1 contractors.
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and site management procedures.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations across all phases of the CAT A & B fitout project.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to deliver works safely, on programme and to high standards.
• Monitor progress and resolve site issues to maintain milestones.
• Ensure works comply with design, quality standards and client requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety reviews.
• Liaise with client, project team and stakeholders throughout the project.
• Support reporting, programme management and handover.

Site Manager - CAT A / B Fitout - Manchester

Leading Tier 1 Fitout Contractor

Start Date: September

Contract Length: Circa 1 year

Location: Manchester

The Shore Group are working with a leading Tier 1 Fitout Contractor, who are seeking an experience Site Manager. Reporting to the on site Project Manager, you'll oversee the CAT A & B refurbishment of a Secure Office Facility.

It is CRUICIAL this indiviual has SC Clearance or at least be BPSS checked.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations across all phases of the CAT A & B fitout project.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest standards.
• Monitor project progress and proactively resolve site issues to maintain delivery milestones.
• Ensure all works comply with design specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and health & safety reviews.
• Liaise closely with the client, project team, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project reporting, programme management, and successful project handover.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering CAT A & B fitout/refurbishment projects.
• Previous experience working on commercial office fitout projects for a Tier 1 contractor.
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and site management procedures.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple trades and stakeholders.
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification preferred.
• SC Clearance is essential, or candidates must hold BPSS clearance and be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
