As a Site Manager within our Fire Protection Division, you will assume a vital role in overseeing and supervising the work of Multi-Trades Operatives. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will extend to acting as a line manager and providing on-site support to ensure efficient and high-quality execution of multi-trade projects

Responsibilities

Supervision and Leadership:

●Provide direct supervision to Multi-Trades Operatives, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.

On-Site Management:

●Act as an on-site manager, overseeing day-to-day operations and addressing issues that may arise during project execution.

Line Management:

●Serve as a line manager for Multi-Trades Operatives, offering guidance, support, and fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.

Task Assignment:

●Assign tasks and responsibilities to Multi-Trades Operatives based on project requirements, skills, and expertise.

Quality Control:

●Implement and maintain quality control processes, conducting regular inspections to ensure work meets specified standards.

Health and Safety Oversight:

●Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.

●Act as a point of contact for clients on-site, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.

Problem-Solving:

●Address challenges and issues that may arise during project execution, working collaboratively with the team to find effective solutions.

Communication:

●Facilitate effective communication between Multi-Trades Operatives, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project flow.

Performance Monitoring:

●Monitor the performance of Multi-Trades Operatives, providing feedback and identifying opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

●Proven experience as a Site Manager in a multi-trade environment, preferably within the construction or fire protection sectors.

●Strong leadership and team management skills.

●Proficiency in a range of trades, including carpentry, painting, and electronic device installation.

●Understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to enforcing on-site safety protocols.

●Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

●Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

●Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

●Relevant qualifications or certifications in a trade or construction management.

●Previous experience working with a geographically dispersed team.

●Familiarity with industry-specific considerations such as safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

●Knowledge of project management principles.

●Experience in leading and mentoring on-site teams.
