Job summary

Hemiko seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead district heating installation works at Worthing, a live public seafront site. You will own safety, quality and programme delivery, coordinate multiple subcontractors and manage permits, RAMS and CDM compliance on a high‑risk project.

You will report to the Project Manager and drive safe, on‑time execution with strong communication to clients and Hemiko teams across all site activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with live public site projects and district heating installation.
• Strong safety culture and RAMS development capabilities.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 and hazardous work control.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors on complex sites.
• Ability to review technical drawings and support design where needed.
• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
• NRSWA street works knowledge with supervisory accreditation preferred.
• Proficiency with Procore, MS Office and PDF tooling.
• Excellent communication and site leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation activities under the Programme Manager, Worthing site.
• Embed safety culture and hazard reporting across teams.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and company safety framework.
• Prepare RAMS, pre-start briefings, toolbox talks, risk assessments.
• Issue and manage Permits to Work for high‑risk activities.
• Supervise active work zones with regular site inspections.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and traffic management teams.
• Manage materials, deliveries and commissioning support.
• Attend weekly site meetings and report progress to the PM.
