Job summary

Romans Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our construction team delivering commercial and public sector projects across Newcastle and the North-East. Lead on-site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery in line with client expectations.

This role requires strong leadership, extensive site management experience, and a solid background in commercial construction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
• Strong background delivering commercial construction projects.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site management practices.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations from project start to completion.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour on site.
• Ensure works are safe and compliant with legislation and company procedures.
• Monitor progress and address issues impacting delivery.
• Maintain quality control across all construction phases.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams.
