Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a Site Manager for Sheffield to lead civil and wastewater infrastructure works. You will manage Civils Operatives, coordinate planning, drive safety standards, and ensure delivery to clients and regulators.

Responsibilities include resource planning, team development, and ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance across projects in Yorkshire. A proactive leader with strong communication and a focus on customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising wastewater, drainage, utilities or civil engineering projects.
• Experience leading operational teams, with focus on performance, wellbeing and development.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage resources and deadlines.
• Proven ability to deliver high standards of customer service and relationships.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Civils Operatives and Gangers across civil works.
• Coordinate planning and scheduling to optimise resources and workforce deployment.
• Maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards in all works.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, authorities and teams.
• Ensure work is completed on time, within budget and to specification.
• Produce and review method statements, procedures and relevant documentation.
• Monitor workforce attendance, performance and compliance with policies.
