Site Manager – Civils/Utilities (South of England – Travel Required)

Location: Field-based across the South of England (must be based south of Nottingham)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a civils or utilities background to oversee EV charging infrastructure projects across the South of England.

This field-based role involves frequent travel with overnight stays (fully covered). You will manage multiple sites simultaneously, ensuring safe, high-quality project delivery and acting as the on-site lead.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to the green energy transition through high-visibility infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Setup & Mobilisation: Ensure proper site setup, crew inductions, and job briefings.
2. Project Oversight: Manage 2–3 active sites, ensuring work is completed to specifications, safely, and on schedule.
3. Travel & Coordination: Travel across the South of England; overnight stays are required and expenses covered.
4. Communication: Maintain daily contact with site teams and contractors.
5. Issue Resolution: Proactively address challenges to keep projects on track.

What We’re Looking For

1. Experience in Civils or Utilities Projects: Preferably with EV infrastructure, but backgrounds in highways, cabling, streetworks, or utilities are relevant.
2. Independent & Proactive Approach: Ability to lead multiple remote sites with limited supervision.
3. Qualifications (Preferred): SMSTS, Streetworks (NRSWA), SHEA, CSCS; attitude and safety mindset are key.
4. Flexibility to Travel: Based in the South of England with willingness to travel and stay away when needed.
