Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a background in civils or utilities to oversee EV charging infrastructure projects across the South of England. This field-based role involves frequent travel and overnight stays, with expenses fully covered. The successful candidate will manage multiple sites, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Site Setup & Mobilisation: Establish sites, conduct crew inductions, and briefings.
  2. Project Oversight: Manage 2–3 active sites, ensuring delivery aligns with specifications, safety standards, and schedules.
  3. Travel & Coordination: Travel across the region with overnight stays, fully expensed.
  4. Communication: Maintain daily contact with site teams and contractors.
  5. Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve challenges proactively to keep projects on track.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience: Civils or utilities projects, preferably with EV infrastructure exposure, or backgrounds in highways, cabling, streetworks, or utilities.
  • Independence & Proactivity: Ability to lead multiple remote sites with limited supervision.
  • Qualifications (Preferred): SMSTS, Streetworks (NRSWA), SHEA, CSCS; however, attitude and practical knowledge are prioritized.
  • Travel Flexibility: Based in the South of England with willingness to travel and stay away when required.
