Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a growing contractor delivering civil engineering, utilities and infrastructure projects across Central England. You will own on-site delivery, lead teams and ensure works meet programme, budget and quality standards.

The role requires strong site management skills, experience with subcontractors and a solid health and safety background, including SMSTS/CSCS and First Aid qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager in civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• SMSTS qualification, CSCS card and First Aid certification.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join an established contractor delivering a range of civil engineering, utilities and infrastructure projects across Central England.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager looking to join a growing business where they can take ownership of projects, lead site teams and play a key role in the successful delivery of high-quality works.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered successfully from mobilisation through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently.

• Leading site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality requirements.

• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

• Reviewing RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are implemented.

• Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.

• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting any issues or delays.

• Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team.

• Maintaining accurate site records, diaries and progress reports.

• Liaising with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders.

• Ensuring works are completed to the required specifications and quality standards.

• Identifying and resolving issues on site in a proactive manner.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Site Manager within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management.

• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.

• A strong understanding of health and safety requirements.

• SMSTS qualification.

• CSCS qualification.

• First Aid qualification.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

• A positive, professional approach with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and project teams.

Experience within water, utilities, energy or wider civil engineering infrastructure would be advantageous.
