Job summary

Churchwood Primary School in East Sussex is seeking a Site Manager to oversee property and asset management, liaise with the Head Teacher, and supervise cleaning staff. The role is permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year, with part-time consideration for the right candidate.

Our experienced Head teacher and his supportive senior leadership team are looking for a Site manager to join their team. This position is permanent, full time, 52 weeks per year, 37 hours per week, part time application will be considered for the right candidate, please state in your application your preference.

  • Liaising daily with the Head Teacher on caretaking and site management issues.
  • Manage the cleaning staff and contracted cleaning staff of the school.
  • Ensure the security of the school premises.
  • Maintaining any machinery or plant within the school.
  • Maintaining the internal and external fabric of the schools premises as a safe working environment.

Churchwood Primary School is a 1 form entry school which joined The Pioneer Academy in June 2026. We have a substantial school site and extensive facilities, complete with a school nursery.
