Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major water treatment scheme. You will oversee construction activities across treatment works, shafts, pipelines and civils, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme and to specification.

Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day site activities, coordinating subcontractors and materials, and maintaining RAMS and quality standards while liaising with the Project Manager, engineers and client to drive successful delivery.

Qualifications

• SMSTS and CDM knowledge required.
• Experience with RAMS and safety compliance.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors on large civil projects.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Site Manager

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a major water treatment scheme, overseeing construction activities including treatment works, shafts, pipelines, civils and associated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site activities and site teams.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and materials.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
• Oversee construction activities including shaft works, excavations, concrete structures, pipelines and treatment facilities.
• Ensure RAMS, permits, inspections and quality requirements are followed.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, client and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Previous Site Management experience on water, wastewater, utilities or major civil engineering projects.
• SMSTS and relevant CSCS card.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, RAMS and CDM.
• Experience managing subcontractors and complex construction activities.
• Experience with shaft construction or underground works is highly desirable.
• Good communication, leadership and organisational skills
