Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking experienced Site Managers to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Sussex and Hampshire. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, lead site teams, and coordinate subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proven track record in the water sector, with a commitment to safety and efficiency on site.

Qualifications

  • Water industry site management experience.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS Manager Card.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Strong CDM knowledge.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Champion and demonstrate core values: Respect, Integrity, Responsibility and Excellence.
  • Manage day-to-day delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Lead site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure HSQE compliance.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Coordinate labour, plant and materials to maintain programmes.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure all work meets specification and quality standards.
  • Manage site documentation, including RAMS, permits and daily records.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain relationships.
  • Identify and resolve site issues, minimising delays and maintaining programme.
  • Support commercial performance through resource management.

Job description

Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, we are looking to recruit experienced Site Managers to join our delivery team. We have opportunities across Sussex and Hampshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for Site Managers with a strong background in the water industry to oversee the safe and successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You'll be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Lead site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) standards.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Coordinate labour, plant and materials to maintain project programmes.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure all work is completed to specification and required quality standards.
  • Manage site documentation, including RAMS, permits and daily records.

  • Identify and resolve site issues, minimising delays and maintaining programme.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for experienced Site Managers with a proven background delivering projects within the water sector. You'll be a strong leader with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering projects safely and efficiently.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous Site Management experience within the water industry
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Manager Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations
  • Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
